For nearly 35 years I have helped clients across a wide spectrum of life experiences and challenges.
My greatest pleasure as a helper is being a part of a process that enables an individual to overcome barriers and to thrive, no matter how slim the odds or how sad the story. My clinical expertise includes depression, mood disorders, anxiety, loss, transitions, trauma, and behavior problems with adolescents and young adults. I also bring my experience to bear in work with individuals and couples and families. Finally, I am well acquainted with the urgency and sensitivity required for crisis work and I am therefore qualified to make some types of emergency psychiatric evaluations for clients with whom I have an established relationship. I have clinical crisis experience at a psychiatric hospital (Marin General Hospital in Marin County, California, 1982-1999). I am therefore qualified to make some types of emergency psychiatric evaluations for clients with whom I have an established relationship. I was also a member of the highly-regarded, San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group (1985-1999), from which I gained expertise in assessing clients' responses in psychotherapy. In addition, I was an adjunct faculty member of Antioch West in San Francisco (1982-1983), a graduate program in creative arts therapy. Finances
