What is psychotherapy? I believe it is the development of a genuine and mutually respectful relationship in which we discover ways to mindfully cultivate those parts of you which promote health and growth, while becoming more aware of and reducing habitual patterns that cause continued suffering.
Hello. I’ve enjoyed serving clients with both short-term and depth psychotherapy for over 20 years. In my practice I work with individuals and couples, from adolescents to elders, on a range of issues.
My specialties include:
-Acute Trauma Reactions and Post-Traumatic Stress
-Depressed or anxious moods and “Bi-Polar” disorders
-Relationship and couples issues
-Drug and/or alcohol use and abuse issues
-Adapting to life changes
-Anger management Stress management.
I bring a 25 year commitment to the practice of mindfulness to my work, and I have extensive post graduate training in Mind Body Stress Reduction and Somatic Experiencing, a body-based approach to working with trauma.
